Websites without a CMS, with quality written into the contract

We take care of building a website without a CMS that matches the standard of your business: an offer page, a brochure website or an interface for your online system, for example, to calculate order costs for your customers. We specify quality thresholds for speed, security and other aspects in the contract. You make the final payment when the website meets these thresholds.

When a website without a CMS is suitable

A website without a CMS is suitable when content changes infrequently or comes from your online system. For a single offer, we build a single-page HTML website with 6–8 sections. Visitors learn about your service, product or event and get in touch through a form or follow a link to a third-party booking service. We also build multi-page HTML websites, with their scope, price and timeframe specified in the proposal.

For your own online service, we build an interface. Visitors use it to calculate an order, configure a service or sign in to their account, if these actions are included in the project.

If you want to regularly edit text, photos and pages yourself through an admin panel, WordPress is suitable. If you need an admin panel later, we migrate the HTML website to WordPress as a new project with a separate estimate, retaining the design and text. Strapi is suitable when the same content is needed for a website, a mobile app and other screens.

Who updates the content and manages orders

Before development begins, we determine for each option who updates the content and where orders and payments are processed.

Content

To replace text, prices or photos, you contact us. We tell you the cost and timeframe for the update before starting work.

We update fixed text and images in the files based on an estimate for the task. You edit the data supplied by your online system on your side.

Orders and payments

Form enquiries reach your email through the method specified in our proposal, and you handle them. Alternatively, visitors can follow a link to book through a third-party service.

The server-side system manages prices, orders, payment confirmations and user accounts. Before development, we determine which system this is and how the interface connects to it.

If there is no server-side system yet, we estimate its development as part of our project before work begins.

We will need information from you at the start of the project

We write the copy using the information you provide about your business, while your logo and other brand materials help us prepare the design. Before development begins, you see how the website will look on a computer and a phone. We make two rounds of revisions to the design and two to the copy based on your feedback.

For your online system interface, we will need a description of visitor actions, your system documentation and the rules for exchanging data. During the consultation, we use these to establish what already works and what needs to be built.

Quality thresholds you can check yourself

We specify all the thresholds in the table below in the contract. Before handover, you receive a quality report detailing what we measured, which tools we used, when we measured it and the results. You can repeat every measurement yourself for free, using the same tools we use. If a score is lowered by a third-party service or module that you have chosen to make mandatory, we record this as an exception before acceptance.

In addition to the thresholds, we check 9 reference screen widths, from 360 to 2560 pixels, so that nothing is cut off or shifts sideways on a phone or a large screen.

How the stages and acceptance work

Contractual thresholds

Speed Lighthouse measures how quickly a page opens on a phone and a computer so that visitors can see your offer straight away. 90 out of 100 or higher
Accessibility Lighthouse assesses ease of use for people with visual impairments and those who navigate using only a keyboard. 90 out of 100 or higher
Technical standards Lighthouse looks for technical errors that interfere with how the website works in a browser. 90 out of 100 or higher
Search readiness Lighthouse checks whether the page has a title and description and whether search engine crawlers can access it. 90 out of 100 or higher
Security MDN HTTP Observatory rates the server’s security settings on a scale from F to A+. A or A+
axe check The axe tool automatically looks for accessibility violations at phone and large-screen widths. 0 errors

What you keep

Everything you need to work with the website stays with you, so you do not depend on anyone. We help you buy a domain and hosting that meet the requirements in the proposal and register them in your name, and we handle deployment ourselves. After launch, we repeat the measurement on your server. If the hosting falls short of the requirements, we show you what is causing problems and suggest configuration changes or a move to another host.

HTML website

What you receive
We hand over your website as a single set of ready-to-use files. These HTML files are yours, and you can edit them yourself. We estimate the work needed to fix any consequences of those edits on a task-by-task basis.
Where it runs
Hosting is space on a server where your website’s files are stored. We will help you choose it and set up deployment.

Online system interface

What you receive
Source files and instructions for the interface we have built. We determine what these include before development.
Where it runs
Functions that run on the server need a suitable server environment on your hosting. We determine the hosting and maintenance arrangements for each part in advance.

The design, pages, copy and settings created for your project also belong to you after the final payment.

Questions before we begin

How long does development take?

On average, we build a single-page HTML website in 3 business days. This excludes time for your decisions and revisions. We specify the exact timeframe in the proposal. For your online system interface, we calculate the timeframe individually based on visitor actions, documentation, data exchange and the need for a new server-side component, and record it in the same proposal.

How much does a project cost?

The cost depends on the size and scope of the work, for example, additional languages and integrations. Before signing the contract, you receive a written proposal with a fixed price. If development costs up to and including €5,000, you pay 50% when signing, before work begins, and 50% after acceptance against the quality thresholds, before launch. For higher amounts, you pay 20% when entering into the contract, 30% after you approve the design, 30% after you confirm the completed website on the staging site, and 20% after acceptance against the thresholds, before launch. You pay for hosting and the domain yourself.

What do you use to build an online system interface?

We build the interface using React with Next.js or Vue with Nuxt, choosing the tools based on the actions visitors need to perform and the specifics of the project.

What happens if a quality threshold is not met?

If a threshold is not met for reasons attributable to us, we spend 10 working days fixing it at our own expense. You can extend this period in writing. If we cannot resolve the issue so that the tests pass, you accept the work at 80% of the total price.

Who fixes errors after launch?

We fix errors in our configuration and in what we have built ourselves at our expense. We estimate changes and maintenance after launch based on the website’s setup and your needs. We always answer questions about using the website sent to support@weberloom.com for free, whether or not you have a subscription. We do not promise a response time; paid support takes priority.

Is preparation for search engines included?

Preparation for search engines is included so that search engines can read the pages correctly. We also check that AI assistants can open and read them to relay information about your services. We do not promise search rankings.
