Strapi websites: content is entered once

Your editors enter content in Strapi once, and it appears on the website and other screens. We define in writing where it will appear before development begins.

When Strapi suits your needs

Strapi websites are a good fit when the same information appears in several places, such as on a website and in a mobile app. An entry is updated once, and each screen takes the part it needs.

Strapi is also a good fit when your own online system, such as an order calculator or customer account area, needs its own content editor. In Strapi, it is separate from the visitor interface: your team edits text in the admin panel, and the system displays it on its screens.

For a single standard company website with an admin panel, WordPress is a good fit.

WordPress websites

One entry for the list and the page

Take a service as an example: the editor fills in its predefined fields once, and it appears both in the service list and on its own page.

Title, description and body text in Strapi alongside the breakfast page on a tablet and phone.
  1. Title field containing “Breakfast in your room” in Strapi and the page heading on a phone.

    Enter a name

    What you do
You enter it once in the field provided.
    What the visitor sees
They see the same name in the list and on the service page.
  2. Short description in Strapi and the same text on the breakfast page.

    Introduce the service briefly

    What you do
You fill in the short description.
    What the visitor sees
They understand the offer directly from the list.
  3. Full text in Strapi and how it appears on the breakfast page.

    Provide more detail

    What you do
You fill in the field for the full text.
    What the visitor sees
They open the service from the list and read the full text.

This way, a single edit appears in both places. We define which fields your editors will have before development begins.

We define the fields in writing in advance

Before development, we document the content model so that editors have exactly the fields your business needs. You approve this plan, and we use it to configure Strapi.

  • Entries

We define what editors will manage, such as services, news or articles.

  • Fields

For each entry, we describe what information goes into it.

  • Who manages the content

We identify the editors and the languages they work in.

  • Where content appears

We specify where each entry appears: on the website, in the app or in your online system, and which of its fields are visible there.

Quality measured against contractual thresholds

We record six quality thresholds in the contract: four Lighthouse scores, a security grade and the number of accessibility errors. You judge the finished website by these figures rather than our words. Before handover, we give you a quality report with measurements for one page of each design variant on our acceptance testing server, and you can repeat these measurements yourself using free tools.

If a threshold is not met for a reason attributable to us, we work to resolve it at our own expense for 10 working days. You then choose: extend the correction period in writing, or accept the work as it is and pay a total of 80% of the full project price, including payments already made. For these measurements, we are responsible for third-party modules we selected. Sometimes a module you have chosen and require us to use lowers a test score; in that case, before acceptance we record an exception for that score only.

How we work

Contractual thresholds

Speed Shows how quickly pages load for your visitors. 90 out of 100 or higher
Accessibility Shows how easy the website is to use for people with visual impairments and those who use only a keyboard. 90 out of 100 or higher
Technical standards Shows whether the code follows established web development practices so that everything works correctly in visitors’ browsers. 90 out of 100 or higher
Search readiness Lighthouse checks whether pages have a title and description and are accessible to search crawlers so that search engines can read them correctly. 90 out of 100 or higher
Security MDN HTTP Observatory grades how page security is configured in the visitor’s browser on a scale from F to A+, and you can obtain this grade yourself. A or A+
Accessibility errors The automated axe check looks for barriers for people with visual impairments and keyboard users at phone and large-screen widths. 0

Your project’s developers stay with you

After launch, we are ready to provide full support: we built the project and know how it works. We define the scope and price of support based on your needs, and quote for each new piece of work before it begins.

We always reply free of charge to questions sent to support@weberloom.com about using a website we have built, whether you have a support subscription or not, including after it ends. We do not promise a response time; paid support gives you priority.

Questions before we begin

What if editors need a new field?

Editors edit content within the existing structure themselves. We add new fields as developers and deploy the update.

Will you migrate content from the old website to Strapi?

We migrate pages, news and other entries from any platform. We retain existing URLs wherever possible and redirect the rest to new ones to avoid losing search rankings. We quote the migration price after reviewing the volume and structure of the data.

How long will a Strapi project take?

You receive the exact development timeline in a written proposal after all the project’s requirements and specific details have been defined.

When do I pay for development, and how much?

If development costs up to and including €5,000, you pay 50% of the project price when signing the contract, before work begins, and 50% after acceptance with the quality thresholds met, before launch. For a more expensive project, you pay 20% when signing, 30% after you approve the template designs in writing, including how they look on a phone, another 30% after you confirm the finished website on the staging server with its content, functionality and main user journeys tested, and the final 20% after acceptance with the thresholds met, before launch. We calculate the €5,000 threshold using the development price after any price reductions and before crediting the paid assessment, excluding indirect taxes, recurring services and direct payments to suppliers.

Will a Strapi project be able to accept orders and payments?

Strapi manages content. If visitors need to make purchases and pay, we specify the system for orders, payments and user accounts before development begins.

Can a mobile app receive content from Strapi?

Strapi can provide the app with the same content your editors manage. Developing the app is not included in building the website.

Is search readiness included in the work?

This is the technical part of the work: we configure pages so that search engines can read them correctly. We also check that AI assistants can open and read them so they can summarise information about your company. We do not promise search rankings.
