Website development stages under your control
Each stage ends with a result you review yourself. You approve the written proposal, design and launch, so no decisions are made without you.
You make the final payment after acceptance against the quality thresholds in the contract.
Discuss your project for free
The first conversation is free
During the free consultation, we explore your needs and suggest a website scope. We choose a platform to suit it — you do not need to understand the technical details beforehand.
A simple website usually does not need a detailed analysis of structure, migration or integrations. If one is needed, we charge for it and credit the cost towards the project.
We document the outcome of the conversation in a written proposal, which we send before the contract.
Price and timeline before the contract
In the written proposal, we describe what we will do and what we need from you. We fix the price and specify an exact timeline for this scope of work.
You approve any task not included in the proposal, together with its cost, before we start it.
Our average working timelines are 3 business days for a one-page website, 10 for a compact website and 20 for a medium-sized website. Time for your decisions and revisions is not included.
What the proposal contains
Illustrative example
We tailor each item to your needs.
- What we createWe specify the platform, features, number of pages and templates — the different layouts used for those pages.
- What we need from youWe list the materials you will provide and specify who prepares the translations.
- What we migrateWe specify the content and data to migrate, and the connections to other systems.
- How much the work costsWe fix the development price and list additional tasks and direct payments to suppliers.
- When it will be readyWe specify an exact timeline for your project.
- Hosting and domainWe list the domain, hosting and its requirements, and licences to be registered in your name.
Four stages with decisions for you to make
As the project progresses, you see the design and the built site before work moves to the next stage.

| Stage | You provide | You receive | Your decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| ProposalWe explore your needs and define the scope of work. | You tell us about your business, customers and starting conditions. | A written proposal with a price and timeline. | You approve it and sign the contract. |
| Website designWe create the design in your brand’s style. | You answer questions about your customers and what sets you apart. | Before development, you see how the website will look on a computer and a phone. | You approve the design. |
| DevelopmentWe build the website and test the main visitor journeys. | You provide the materials listed in the proposal. | You review how the content and features work on the staging site. | You confirm that the website is ready for acceptance. |
| LaunchWe carry out acceptance against quality thresholds and prepare for publication. | You register the domain and hosting in your name, and we help with the purchase. | Primary administrator access and instructions for using the admin panel, if the website has one. | You approve the launch after acceptance. |
The price includes two rounds of design revisions. We quote for each further round before work begins. We usually write the page copy after the design is approved, during development, and revise it twice based on your comments too. If you already have your own copy, we edit it lightly and the price is lower.
Payment by stage
Each payment is tied to a project milestone you can see for yourself: signing the contract, approving the design, confirming the completed website on the staging site, or acceptance.
-
Up to and including €5,000
You pay 50% of the project price when signing the contract. You pay the remaining 50% after acceptance against quality thresholds, before launch.
-
Over €5,000
You pay 20% of the project price when signing the contract. You pay another 30% after approving the design in writing, and the next 30% when you confirm the completed website with its content and features on the staging site. You pay the final 20% after acceptance against quality thresholds, before launch.
We select the payment schedule based on the project price after any price reductions, excluding indirect taxes, recurring services and direct payments to suppliers. The credit for the detailed analysis does not affect this choice.
Acceptance
Measurements confirm quality
During acceptance, we compare measurement results with the thresholds in the contract. Lighthouse provides separate scores for speed, technical standards, search readiness and accessibility — ease of use for people with visual impairments and those who use only a keyboard. The tested pages score 90 out of 100 or higher in each category on both mobile and desktop. Security settings receive A or A+ from MDN HTTP Observatory, on a scale from F to A+. The automated axe accessibility check finds zero errors at phone and large-screen widths.
We test one page from each template on our acceptance server, using the configuration we recommend for the project. After launch, we repeat the measurements on your hosting. If it falls short of the requirements in the proposal, we show what is getting in the way and suggest configuration changes or a move to different hosting.
For these measurements, we are also responsible for third-party modules we selected ourselves. If a score is lowered by a service or module that is mandatory because you chose it, we document that exception before acceptance.
We fix our errors at our own expense. If a threshold is not met for a reason attributable to us, we spend 10 working days correcting the issues free of charge. You then accept the work at 80% of the total price unless you have extended the correction period in writing, meaning you do not pay 20%. Under the 50/50 schedule, the second payment is then 30%; under the 20/30/30/20 schedule, the final payment is not made.
Before handover, we provide a quality report: what we tested, with which tools, when and with what results. You can repeat the measurements for free using PageSpeed Insights, MDN HTTP Observatory and axe.

Your website stays in your hands
After acceptance, on platforms with an admin panel, you update the content yourself rather than through us.
Your rights to the work
We provide primary administrator access, the theme’s source code and instructions for using the control panel, or finished files for a website without a CMS. After the final payment, the design, copy, pages and settings created for you belong to you. The shared foundation we use to build projects remains ours, and you can always use it on your website.
Purchases in your name
The domain, hosting and licences are registered in your name according to the list you receive with the proposal. We guide you through purchasing everything needed. We configure the hosting, and you retain all access credentials.
Help after launch
For WordPress and WooCommerce, the first year of support is free: updates to our theme and plugins, a project channel with the enquiry history and 50 reply messages from us per month.
At launch, we set up automatic backups on your hosting and perform a full test restore. We give you the instructions. During the first year, we restore the site to working order for free if an incident was our fault. Ongoing monitoring and recovery for other causes are included in Care, our monthly WordPress maintenance service. Full monitoring and incident response are not included in the free year. We support other platforms on a project basis.
We always answer questions about using the website we built free of charge at support@weberloom.com, with or without a subscription, including after the first free year. These emails do not count towards the quota. We do not guarantee a response time; requests in the project channel during the first year and under active subscriptions receive priority.
